Dinner with a King and a Show

Mrs. Reynolds is taking the 6th and 7th grades on a field trip in a few months. I recommend that parents allow their children to go because it is worth the money as I will explain below. It’s only sixty-five dollars and comes with supper. While you eat you get to watch the best live show right in front of you.

You get to watch 6 nights battle it out in a tournament and a search for the prince. There is jousting, weapon fighting- which including swords, maces, and even spears- wars and even award ceremonies.

While you eat your four-course dinner, you sit in the area made for the “realm” of your knight. When you walk in the door the “servants” give you a crown that tells you what knight to root for. Your knight stands right in front of you. When he wins he gives the people of his realm the prize. Normally the prize is a rose.

Now let’s talk about dinner. The dinner starts off with a delicious soup that gets you pretty hungry. Then they bring you the full size chicken breast (that is cooked to perfection) and the garlic bread. Then comes the ribs. Finally they bring the castle pastry, which is delicious.

Finally after the show (and before) you can visit the many shops. They have a sword shop that is pretty expensive but they have really nice swords. There is also a bar where you can get non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages including strawberry daiquiris. You can even visit the dungeons!

  2. Good story, one correction, where you have 6 nights battleing it should be "kinghts" battle it out.
One more thing, I doubt that 6th & 7th graders would have the opportunity to have alcoholic drinks. :-)
